Description: Nobel laureate Joseph Stiglitz, who is a visiting scholar at UBC this month, talks about global income inequality.
Date: 02 September 2015
Author: Jason Kirby
Source: Maclean's
Joseph Stiglitz, a Nobel laureate and a visiting scholar at UBC this fall, sits down with Maclean's Jason Kirby to talk about the impact of austerity and rising inequality across the globe.

When asked about inequality in Canada, Stiglitz says Canada could do better in combating inequality, although it stands in the middle of the OECD pack. "Canada is among the best performing natural resource economies, but it's still not up to the best performing."
