Best-selling author and Liu Institute Faculty Associate Wade Davis calls out the B.C. government for giving the Northwest Transmission Line a green light with lack of oversight and for encouraging mining in northern B.C.ís wilderness. According to Davis, the B.C. government squandered taxpayersí money by building the $716-million transmission line as it went ahead with the project despite the concerns that it might lead to another disaster that may kill the multi-billion salmon fishing and tourism industry in the area.

"Itís the story of politicians more concerned about the next election than the next generation," he said.
